A Tour Through My Mind

been 2 days.. but still can't belive.. its a nice feeling nonetheless.. when i stare in space, nothing to do.. i would picture how tracy scored that goal.. it's an image i won't forget for a long time.. and the supporters from the bench.. jumping up and down.. (oh.. the jumping up and down is only me!! *winks) 

its the idea of beating the 2 youth powerhouses – Jansenites and SRC.. well.. what a feat! we came in third in the league.. struggling with only 11 players almost the whole time..  fortunately we got our act together in good time.. the semis and finals.. in the end.. it's all good! sigh.. can't stop thinking bout the win.. :>

it's such a thrilling match.. we met Jansenites in the finals after ousting SRC out in the semi finals.. *hahahahaha – evil laughter*

Tracy converted one opportunity and that was all that we needed.. the goal came early in the first half.. after that we played hard to defend that goal. Our defence was good.. even though we had so many short corners against us.. we managed to defend our goal comfortably. it was a great game to watch. and our girls gave their all.. they made it easy to fall in love with the game and with the team. they were awesome. they stood tall against waves of challenges. we did get other attacking opportunities during the game of which we did not convert any. however, the girls played to expectations and they showed that getting into the finals and winning the championship is not due to luck. we won it through passion, team work and first class effort. That's how hockey is meant to be played.

It doesn't matter that we lost to SRC twice in the qualifying rounds in the under 18 tournament.. what matters is … they met us in the semi-finals and we kicked their butts out of the finals.. *thanks for the game, here's your entrance ticket to delta stadium.. valid for 23rd june at 4pm. thanks to us, you'll get a great view of the finals – from the stands*

their heads are getting bigger and bigger and they think they're unbeatable. it's especially sweet when we beat this kind of team. the defeat is like a smack to the back of your head – just like how in olden days, when students fell asleep the teacher came from behind and smack the head from the back so hard that it brought them back to earth. welcome back to reality. ice that bump on your head. it's gonna hurt real bad. 

Nordin say today their players will surely sulk and can't sleep. haha.. well they have to learn  to lose also what… especially when they meet us in semi finals.. they  better not get their hopes to high up.

Polly played real well today. very proud of her. she was marking a giant and boy, did she show who's the boss on the pitch! it's not the size of the dog in the fight.. it's the size of the fight in the dog. she totally took the giant out of the game and the giant became more and more frustrated. nadrah played well today too. good short corner goal.. even though it kind of trickled after being deflected off the keeper's pads.. but her hit was on target.. melissa played well too.. and iyuan and tracy.. laila took a reverse shot which nearly happened! that was nice. and annabelle did a few good interceptions.. yunjia and xiaojie did well too.. they displayed both skills and speed. tracy scored the winning goal in flicks!! kudos! and fazliah was simply sizzling.. she saved all but one.. that's (in ziya's words..) AWESOME!

Great play girls.. Really proud  of you! Finals tmr is a different game. be the best that you can be. 

played againts scc last week.. it was a great showing from us.. too bad in the first half don't know what happened we conceded 3 goals.. really shouldn't have been lah…
it was a very tough match .. and at many times it seem their attack came in waves after waves.. but second half we showed that we were the fitter side.. of course all of us tired playing in the hot 4 pm sun… but we played so much better than the first half.. we were controlling well in the midfield and there was support for the attack.. we scored our first goal against them through short corner.. our second goal came from a penalty flick which developed from a last minute penalty corner. they didn't score any in the second half.. so TECHNICALLY we won the second half.. haha.. the game got a little rough somehow..yah well.. the other side has a part time softball player so called… well she hit the ball in the air kind.. very dangerous play.. angmoh.. very tall and lots of drama.. yah drama queen lah her.. there were a few bad calls from the umpire.. really really bad calls.. but hey! who can blame them? their standard is like that so… just get on with the game lah.. no point arguing also.. amazing how their eyes have magical powers to see things that didn't even happen!! truly amazing! i would liek to have that power too.. so if i miss a goal or whatever.. i can see that the goal went in!!! haha.. well that's just delusional.. i'll just go crazy.. go ahead knock myself out.

today got another game.. going out for game soon.

we're almost there.. played jansenites in the premier league on saturday.. we were dominating in the first half.. even had very clear chances at goal.. could have easily won the game.. but somewhere in the game.. somehow.. we lost control of the game.. we fought back.. but couldn't equalise. they scored 1-0 against us..
can see we're almost there. this game could really been ours.. we were stronger in our midfield.. we do need put in more work on the forward line.. lack of understanding.. partly because some of us don't train together.. the 2nd round we will show them.. we are here.. they are experienced playing in the premier league. we are not.. this is where we get the experience. will onlly get better from here.

div one game.. on sunday.. nordin has to coach ORA.. playing same time as crescent but they play at delta.. so i took charge of the div one.. played against police.. i would say they're qquite an ok team.. but somehow.. we were all pleasantly surprised to see our div one team playing so well.. we had quite a number of chances at goal.. open goal some more… but christie missed.. twice… haha.. never mind.. she's improving by leaps n bounds.. that's very good already. the main players weren't playing cos tmr they have b div quarter finals.. so which means that we were fielding the reserves for b div.. not a bad showing at all.. really wasted we couldn't score.. sigh.. but we played well.. it was good.. police is more experienced.. if our girls can match them and even give them a run for their money.. then its a good sign.

This goes out to you skeptics out there.. we have arrived.
YES!! CRESCENT HOCKEY is no more on its way.. CRESCENT has arrived. bear that in mind.
we were div 2 champions last year.. and this year, it has been a grrreaaat start. we beat SRC 2-1 in the under-21 tournament semifinals. we really couldn't decide which was the icing on the cake – was it qualifying ffor the finals or knocking src out.. we were not in the top 4 for under21 tournament last year.. but this year we have shocked many by coming in second.. and the national 8 aside tournament.. we were in the semi finals in the premier category.. we drew 0-0 with SRC premier side. we didn't even expect to reach that far.. its our first year competing in premier.. we're testing the ground, getting exposure and learning the ways of the elite league. i forsee it will be a great tournament year.. cos whatever happens later on.. history can't be changed. this year we beat SRC in under-21.
